Charles Russell Elburn had a lengthy and successful career in the field of education. A reputable and well-respected educator for many years, Elburn is proud to have had the opportunity to be a source of knowledge, influence and inspiration for so many students throughout his career, and to have shared his love of learning, and of his passion for teaching, with so many colleagues, peers and professionals throughout the educational community.
Charles Russell Elburn was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1968, and graduated from Brooklyn Park High Scholl in 1986. He would attend college shortly after high school graduation, successfully earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature not long after. He would then begin his pursuit of a career in teaching, and would join Baltimore City Schools shortly after earning his teaching certificate.
After a successful stint with Baltimore City Schools, Charles Russell Elburn would join the St. Mary’s County Schools district, and would become a respected member of a high school faculty within the district. Known as a devoted, involved and passionate educator, Elburn volunteered much of his time to the school-related activities during his employment in the St. Mary’s district.
Elburn possesses an Advanced Professional Teaching Certificate, and is a member of the Instructional Technologies Professionals Group. He is also a Certified Instructor for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Hooked On Fishing Not On Drugs program (HOFNOD), and remains a member of the International Society for Technology in Education. He earned his Master of Science degree from ITSC in 2006.
